Fire at Alfred

My Alma mater had a pretty decent sized fire rip through a little mom-‘n-pop sports shop this morning. Sad. Luckily, none of the employees of the shop or students who lived in the apartments above it were hurt, according to the Alfred website. From all accounts, the fire department were quick and effective, and the university immediately started sending emails assuring the community of people’s safety. Well funded small-town infrastructure and disaster plans are nothing to shake a stick at. Keep it up, Alfred Fire Brigade and University Safety Committee!
